Preparations Underway
September 13, 2006
Hello Family and Friends,
Welcome back! Since arriving home in July of 2005, Sandy and I have been consumed with jobs, family (i.e., 5 grandchildren), home, and the often daunting, endless tasks of boat maintenance. We are now making final preparations to sail south again for the winter. This time, we have choosen the Exumas in the Bahamas as our destination. Our voyage down the coast will include offshore hops and passages through sections of the ICW. Weather permitting, we plan to depart Rhode Island around the end of the month. Our first leg of the trip is expected to be a 210-mile offshore run from Block Island, RI to Cape May, NJ. We'll likely make another post once we complete this leg. Till then, we wish you all prosperity and good health. -ds
